Why organic chemistry students should consider tutoring:
Organic chemistry is a difficult course and is often a roadblock for students pursuing post-graduate education, whether that is professional schools such as medical school and physician assistant school or graduate schools. Poor grades in the CHE 118 series may become serious impediments to your future career goals. Likewise, excellent grades in the CHE 118 series are likely to impress admission committees and increase your chances of success. Consider investing a small fraction of your tuition payments into tutoring that will help you achieve your goals. |
Due to Covid-19, tutoring for Summer 2021 and onwards will be online through Zoom. I've found that many students actually learn better through online tutoring!
Although I have a system in place, I am eager to adapt my teaching style to your individual needs-- whether that is simply answering student questions or treating tutoring sessions like interactive review sessions, where we can cover entire weeks of material in just a few hours, while doing exam-relevant practice questions on each concept or reaction.
If you would like to get high quality tutoring, but cannot afford to be tutored privately, feel free to contact me and we can work something out, or check out the AATC drop-in hours & also the chemistry specialist workshops!

About me:
I am a junior majoring in NPB and minoring in music. Currently, I am working as an undergraduate researcher in Ho lab and working as a volunteer tutor with Step Up tutoring in hopes of applying to medical school one day. In my free time, I enjoy playing the violin and drums and watching police procedurals on Netflix. I had a violin teacher who never gave up on me and I will forever remember what my teacher did for me, that lightning strike of inspiration and clarity of purpose. And although it might not always be in the field of music, I know now that I have a duty and as responsibility, whether through my work, or my friendships, down to my smallest everyday actions, to spread that gift to as many people as I can. If you need any advice regarding organic chemistry or anything, please do not hesitate to contact me at (530)-771-7898- I'd be more than happy to help! |
